Sometimes optimizing community and individual health means receiving care and medications to control the pain and symptoms of disease during someone’s final days.

Betty Dobson’s family has three generations of volunteers with Hospice of Rockingham County. But little did she know how important this service would become to her and her family when her own son became terminally ill.

Your contributions to United Way of Rockingham County made it possible for Betty’s son to have his family by his side and receive the caring support he deserved.

Together, we have given $114,500 to optimize community and individual health through prescription drug services, vision screenings, hospice care, and recreation opportunities.
