Coming Soon! Your opportunity to speak out for Rockingham County.

Your United Way and the Rockingham County Health Department are currently conducting the 2012 Community Health and Human Services Needs Assessment. This assessment, with your help, will identify how we can continue to build a community that is strong in education, financial stability and health--those things that invite new employers and enhance our economy.

Over the past 10 years, community assessments such as this one have led your United Way to invest your campaign dollars into programs that have increased our high school graduation rates from 67% to 70%. They have helped many residents find a path to increased financial stability. And they have provided access to healthcare for the uninsured through programs such as the Student Health Centers.

How can you help? There are two ways. First, click here to complete the assessment. Second, sign up here to participate in a community forum where you can discuss these community issues with the assessment team and other community leaders.

Lend Your Voice and help Rockingham County to LIVE UNITED!

Take quality time with family to a whole new level by volunteering together? Family volunteering can actually improve communication and bonds among family members as they get to know each other in a new way and discover hidden talents and common interests. Family volunteering also teaches positive values to children and can help create a new generation of dedicated volunteers and engaged citizens.

United Way of Rockingham County offers a valuable resource in identifying human service agencies who have volunteer opportunities. Click here to see Rockingham County Health and Human Services Guide.
